About Me

What’s your role? Helping clients realise the objectives for their businesses – whether that’s growth, development or succession and realisation of their investments in businesses; also working with owners and managers of businesses who are buying, selling and funding companies – both in the UK and in relation to cross border transactions. I help to set up agreements governing the rights between shareholders, partners and LLP members, as well as setting up tax efficient share option arrangements for employee share ownership schemes. I also work for banks who fund businesses – whether for general growth or by way of acquisition. What are your specialisms? -Mergers -Acquisitions -Funding Your experience, I’ve been involved from the outset of e-based businesses such as Hungryhouse.com – from its first angel investment through to overseas investment by its now German holding company, to national status as a leader in its sector and a value in excess of £40m. I have also worked with The Transport Research Laboratory buying in a subsidiary with key software solutions as it develops its global sales strategy. Incentivising senior management with tax efficient share option based solutions is another area of expertise for me. I’ve recently expanded my banking work with Santander Bank on its large corporate finance lending, having cut my teeth on this for mainstream banks in the 90s and early 2000s. I’m also a Governor at Peter Symonds Sixth Form College in Winchester where I work closely with the senior management and executive team. Four people you would invite to dinner: Jonny Wilkinson, Michael Palin, Margaret Thatcher and Eddie Izzard The first record you bought: Bay City Rollers – Bye Bye Baby
